Week 2: 2-0!

Sharing is Caring

And then there were 3…

I am the lone girl in the league who is undefeated. Granted it’s only me and my sister playing against a bunch of dudes, but still.

Alone, I stand.

Injuries are the Worst

I was a little nervous this week. My opponent had Justin Jefferson and A.J. Brown, so his score started off strong after Thursday’s game. Thank goodness most of his other potential star players did not have as much of a breakout game.

I was very sad for Nick Chubb even though he is on my opponent’s team. I hate injuries. As an athlete and someone who likes to stay active, injuries are the worst. The body never quite recovers.

Too many players have already sustained season ending injuries this year, and it is only Week 2. I know some fantasy managers get all nasty about their players that go down with injuries and they lose a week. But let me just say, this is just fantasy. Let it go. These are still people and human beings who have to live with the effect of these injuries for the rest of their life.

Run the Ball, KC!

Overall, I’m still pretty set with my lineup. I did have to make a few adjustments last minute due to injuries on Sunday. Thankfully my replacements were productive enough to keep me in the lead.

I will say though, Kansas City is killing me in fantasy. Pretty much you really only can utilize Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Both of whom I do not have.

*eye roll*

They really need to step up their running game. I won’t drop Pacheco completely, but I definitely would have sat him and played Adam Thielen instead. I could have at least got double digit points. The only risk is not knowing how productive the little rookie QB in North Carolina would hold up against a pretty solid Saints defense.

D-Flop

I’m starting to get frustrated with Deandre Hopkins again. Such a talented and sure shot target, but no dice. Yes, I know they still have Derrick Henry and they are primarily a running team. But considering how Tua and Tyreek Hill picked apart the secondary of the Chargers, I was hoping Tennessee would take advantage of what D-Hop gives.

Bengals Bust, Again.

Lastly, what is going on with the Bengals? They are having such a sloooooow start. Joe Mixon has been such an under performance these last two weeks. I am hoping their coaching staff works on getting their O-Line shored up by the mid season so I don’t have to bench Mixon and chance a newer RB.

The lineup will stay mostly the same for now with maybe a change of Thielen for Hopkins considering the teams they will be facing and D-Hops health status.

Let’s go for 3-0 for Week 3!
